Just a gal in Austin, TX, striving to build an heirloom food heritage, one recipe at a time. Often inspired by my Northern Italian & Portuguese upbringing. Always inspired by what’s growing in the garden. I try to make being in your kitchen something deeply enjoyable, meaningful, and fruitful in your everyday lives.

Hi there. I’m Dani.
I’m a home cook, food stylist, recipe developer and cookbook author from Austin, Texas. I create content surrounding food that is equal parts gorgeously styled and delicious. Over the years I’ve had the joy of working on a huge range of projects from styling shoots, to writing two cookbooks, creating recipes and styled content for brands, and so much more.
My goal is to create food with an heirloom quality around which storied traditions are formed, like I had growing up— and it would be impossible not to include my love of gardening in this, since I try and inject that into almost everything I create, and frankly, what I grow informs what I cook.
With any recipe I’m developing, whether for my own family, or for a job, I try and utilize ingredients as fresh as humanly possible, I keep it as from-scratch as is manageable, and of course, styled as vibrantly as I possibly can.
I get a lot of joy out of this job. I love serving people through food and delving into the stories around which recipes are formed. I want to make being in your kitchen something deeply enjoyable, meaningful, and fruitful in your everyday lives. Thanks for being here, and if you want more information about how we might be able to work together, or even if you want to just say hi, email hithere@danigoessouth.com. Let’s cook something delicious together.
Check out my two cookbooks! The 30-Minute Pescatarian, The Complete Fish Cookbook, both published by Rockridge Press.
